Tuil is Gèile – Storm Ceilidh: Online Event

An online event to launch and listen to artist Sandra Kennedy’s new audio work ‘Tuil is Gèile’!

An online event to launch and listen to artist Sandra Kennedy’s new audio work ‘Tuil is Gèile’, in collaboration with Làn Thìde (Outer Hebrides Climate Beacon), Adaptation Scotland and the Met Office. This work examines experiences of winter storms as expressed by islanders in the Outer Hebrides.

Presented alongside the collection of stories are the findings from an analysis of historical local weather data and future climate trends, which have enabled Met Office climate scientist Dr James Pope to make projections for how winter storms are likely to change in future if emissions continue to rise.

During the evening we will learn more about the Met Office analysis and impacts of storms as expressed by local voices, and together we will explore how Islanders can adapt to the effects of climate change to build a hopeful, resilient future for the Islands.
